The Biggest Grammy Snubs Of The Year.

From Jethro Tull to Smells Like Teen Spirit, the Grammy Awards certainly have a reputation for not always getting it right. This year was no different with a few decisions that really make your head spin when you think about them.

While Katy Perry boasted nominations in just about every category she was eligible for it was certainly surprising to see another current pop icon get snubbed completely. With multiple hit singles and an album with huge sales you would think that Keha would be right up the Grammy Awards’ alley. Instead she seemed to have been left behind by her “California Dreams” counterpart.

It was also shocking to see a Grammy Awards without Alicia Keys nominated for anything. With her album “The Element of Freedom” exposing the raw emotion that she carries and her single “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” being one of her best works one would think she would at least get a few nominations. It seems the Awards had different thoughts, however.

It’s honestly hard to take an award show seriously that gives Esparanza Spalding the nod over Mumford and Sons or seems to be so infatuated with Lady Antabellum that there might as well not be any other nominees when they are in the categories. This is the award show we have though, so this is the award show we’ll watch.
